BLOOMINGTON – The Arnolt Center for Investigative Journalism and the Indiana Capital Chronicle won a third place A-Mark Investigative Story of the Year Award from the Indiana Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
The center worked with the Indiana Capital Chronicle to dig into the state’s LEAP development in Boone County, finding the state had spent nearly $1 billion on the project but released few details to the public on how that money was used. Max Reich, Mia Hilkowitz, Marissa Meador, Alaska Jones, Zoe Benson and Libby Erlenbaugh worked with Capital Chronicle reporter Leslie Bonilla Munoz on the story.
Those same students won other honors for collaborations with the Capital Chronicle – first place for Business and Consumer Reporting and third place for Business and Consumer Reporting.
