Latson wins NABJ honor

BLOOMINGTON – Samantha Latson won a Salute to Excellence award from the national Association of Black Journalists.

Latson, a second-year masters student working at the Arnolt Center for Investigative Journalism, won the award for her Chicago Crusader story “March brings attention to missing Black girls and women.”

NABJ will present Latson with her award at its annual convention with the National Association of Hispanic Journalists in August.
